going out to get.....crabs

Well if it isn't Thursday again.. seems like all my posts are done on a Thursday for some reason..
Anyways last weekend Angie, Naro, Dee and I went down to Rye/Sorrento for a day trip, our mission: catch crabs! and nooo not the crabs u get wen u visit the corners of st kilda the crabs that have claws and u cook and eat!

it was actually quite exciting, as we were only in Rye about 4 months ago.. i never thought we'd travel up for just the day. We woke up at 5am and set off on our trip, stopping off at maccas for breakfast we arrived at Rye around 7:45am

with out basket nets in one hand and an esky in the other we walked down to Rye Pier and set up shop. We saw several crabs however only eventually caught one... but it died. SOMEBODY put it in the esky and sealed the lid shut.. and being a 30 degree day.. it steamed inside.

Tomorrow after work we are trying our luck again.. this time leaving straight after work to a place called Inverloch or something... and we will begin at 2am when it's dark.

Apparently from what friends tell us.. Inverloch is the place to be.. as the crabs get washed ashore with the waves, so we can just run out and pick them up... again it sounds too good to be true, but if it is.. i'll invite all you guys round my place for a crab feast..

even if they are not on the shore, we have done some research into crabbing techniques (sad i know) but i was so shattered coming home empty handed...

the future is unwritten

busy times..

Well the past few weeks have been extremely busy for me, so sorry about the lack of updates. Where to begin... OK so i now have a new room lol yes.. same house, i've just moved out of my old room into another room. Reason for the move was because the sun would shine directly through my windows from about midday until sunset causing my room to heat up like a sauna and more importantly causing my computer to freak out. The new room is awesome, it has a view of the court and no direct sunlight at all!

Over the last week i was also promoted at work, for those who don't know; i work at Melbourne IT. Moving from a customer support position into the Tech and Admin position. Basically it's less support directly with the customer but more behind the scene processes and procedures. What does this all mean? nothing much really.. an increase to the salary but more importantly a good step forward.

stepping into 08

Well it's another year, however this time round the main difference is i've graduated from University and have started a full time job. So many changes yet so many new opportunities.

I decided to create this blog for myself and my friends and family. I am planning to update it with my personal thoughts and opinions as well as share with you the ups and downs of my life.

Like i said, 2008 is a year where i have turned over a new leaf. I'm going to do as much as i can this year career wise and with friends and family.

The next few entries will be old, but relevant news.. just letting you guys catch up on what i've done so far 17 days into the new year.
